The TRS4 Series Type 2 AC Surge Protection Device is designed to safeguard electrical installations and sensitive equipment from transient over voltages caused by lightning strikes and switching events within the power network. Installed within distribution boards, this device helps prevent surge energy from propagating further into the electrical system, protecting downstream equipment and improving overall system reliability. 

Built using high performance MOV technology, the TRS4 provides fast response and reliable surge diversion by safely directing excess surge current to ground. Under normal operating conditions the device remains inactive with high impedance, but when a surge occurs it instantly switches to a low impedance path to clamp the voltage and protect connected equipment. 

The TRS4 series is available in multiple discharge capacities (10kA, 20kA, 40kA and 60kA) and supports single phase or three phase power systems, making it suitable for a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial applications.

Its compact DIN rail modular design with pluggable protection modules allows quick installation and simple maintenance. The device also includes a visual status indicator and optional remote signalling contact, enabling operators to monitor SPD health and respond quickly if replacement is required.

Engineered to meet IEC 61643-11 and EN 61643-11 standards, the TRS4 provides dependable surge protection for low voltage distribution systems such as electrical panels, industrial control cabinets, telecom installations, and building automation systems.
