Three Phase Voltage Leads – MIRO Portable PQ Loggers (PQ45 series)
The 3 phase voltage leads are designed to connect MIRO Portable Power Quality (PQ) Loggers to live electrical systems for accurate voltage measurement and monitoring.
These leads are built for both field and industrial use, offering a reliable and safe connection when working across switchboards, substations, and other three phase installations. They are double insulated, UV stabilised, and suitable for indoor and outdoor environments.
Usage
The leads are used to connect the MIRO logger to 3 phase systems, allowing measurement of phase to neutral voltages across all phases. Depending on the model, they can be used on:
- Standard three phase star (wye) systems
- Systems requiring separate neutral connections
- More complex configurations including delta networks
They are commonly used during commissioning, troubleshooting, and long-term power quality monitoring.
General Specifications
- Rated up to 600V RMS (phase to phase and phase-to-earth)
- CAT IV 600V safety rating
- 2 metre cable length
- 2A HRC fused protection (integrated, non replaceable)
- Indoor and outdoor use
- Double insulated construction for added safety
Available Types
VL5 Series – 5 Wire (3P + N + G)
This is the standard option for most three-phase measurements using a shared neutral.
- 1AVL5-B – Banana plug termination (with optional clips)
- 1AVL5-C – Large fused clamps for direct connection
These leads are suited for typical star (wye) systems where a common neutral is available.
VL8 Series – 8 Wire (3P + 3N + 2G)
Designed for more advanced applications where separate neutral connections are required.
- 1AVL8 – Banana plug termination
- 1AVL8-B – Banana plugs with small (crocodile) clips
- 1AVL8-C – Large fused clamps
These leads are more versatile and can be used across star, wye, and delta systems.
Safety Notes
As these leads are connected to live systems, installation should only be carried out by qualified personnel using appropriate PPE. If there is any visible damage to insulation or connectors, the lead should not be used.
